If yoga has taught me anything, it's that approaching something with intelligence and patience is far more important than getting it right right away.

Good thing too, since in the twelve years of full-time 'adult' work leading up to my decision to teach yoga were, while fueled by passion and good  intentions, meandering and eclectic at best.

To prove that yoga practitioners are not just sprung magically from their mats, here, in no particular order is a list of some of the jobs I have known:

1) Director of the Leaders in Training course at YMCA Camp Kanawana
2) Michelin Tire Man mascot at F1
3) Coordinator of The Special Needs Network at the Donald Berman Yaldei Developmental Centre
4) Director of Marketing and Special Events at Apathy is Boring
5) Espresso slinger at Java U and Second Cup
6) Director of Development at Centaur Theatre Company

So yes, my path to yoga was a circuitous one, but it was the only path I could take.  I made it myself and there is no other one that could have brought be here with the same sense of purpose and clarity. Thank goodness for the road less traveled, for it I am grateful.
